Guess the Rainbow Six Siege Operator from the Silhouette

Only the blacked-out outline is shown. Identify the operator from their gear, stance and silhouette. Every wrong guess declassifies one more field of the target’s file — side, unit, nationality, then debut year.

About Silhouette mode

Silhouette is the second daily mode in r6dle. There is no attribute grid here — you get one thing: the blacked-out outline of today’s Rainbow Six Siege operator, lit from behind. No colour, no stats, no name. Just the shape of the helmet, the body armour, the weapon held across the chest and whatever gadget is strapped on.

It is the same silhouette for every player in the world and it changes at 00:00 UTC. Guesses are unlimited and your score is simply how many it took, so a Siege veteran can close it in one while everyone else still gets there eventually.

71 operators can be the answer, and the outlines are more distinctive than you would expect: Montagne’s shield, Tachanka’s mounted LMG, Fenrir’s canister smoke and Clash’s riot shield are all readable in pure black.

How to play Silhouette

  1. Read the outline before you guess. Helmet shape, armour bulk, the weapon at the chest and any gadget on the back or at the feet usually narrow it to a handful of operators.
  2. Type any Rainbow Six Siege operator and submit. Autocomplete works with plain ASCII, so “jager” finds Jäger and “capitao” finds Capitão.
  3. Every operator you have ruled out stays listed below with their icon, so you never burn a turn on a name you already tried.
  4. Misses declassify the target’s file one field at a time: side after 3 guesses, unit after 5, nationality after 7 and debut year after 9. The picture never changes — the extra clues come from the dossier instead.
  5. Guesses are unlimited and the mode keeps its own streak, separate from Operator mode. A new silhouette appears at 00:00 UTC.

Silhouette FAQ

How many operators can appear in Silhouette mode?
71. Three operators on the roster — Capitão, Jäger and Skopos — have no usable full-body artwork in their default gear, so they are never the answer. You can still guess them.
Can I just look at the image and see the answer?
No. The silhouettes are flattened to solid black when the site is built, so the file your browser downloads has no colour information left in it at all. There is nothing to peek at in the page source or the network tab.
Do I get hints if I am stuck?
Yes. After three wrong guesses the target’s side is declassified, then their unit, then their nationality, then their debut year. Fields you have not unlocked yet show as redacted bars with the guess number that opens them.
Is Silhouette harder than Operator mode?
It rewards different knowledge. Operator mode is deduction from stats; Silhouette is recognition — if you know the roster by sight you will often get it first try, and if you do not, the declassified fields turn it back into deduction.
Does Silhouette share a streak with Operator mode?
No. Each mode tracks its own daily progress and its own streak, so missing one does not break the other.
Where does the artwork come from?
The outlines are derived from Ubisoft’s official operator artwork. r6dle is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with Ubisoft; see the credits page for every source and licence.
